Family and young people throwing session

Young people and family wheel throwing workshops |  1.5 hours | £45 per person

These sessions are designed especially for young makers, who can attend alone, or with a friend or parent/carer. 

Young potters will be given the opportunity to master the wheel with supportive guidance and fun, relaxed teaching. Alice will start with a demonstration after which each participant will have their own dedicated time on the wheel to practise throwing and experimenting with basic shapes. Options for decorating will be given during the session.

Sessions are held at Alice's studio in Ashwell. All attendees will be asked to complete a health and safety form ahead of their workshop and young potters will be taken through basic studio risks before their session begins.

Alice has a lot of experience teaching children's workshops (and two kids of her own, so she is well aware of how much they enjoy getting messy with clay)!
