Kids Clay Club | Fridays 4-5.30pm

Weekly handbuilding clay sessions aimed at children aged 8-12 years old. All tools, materials and firing are included. No previous experience necessary. 

NEXT START DATE - Friday 27th February 2026:

Week 1 - CANDLESTICKS & TEA LIGHTS: A welcome session showing how we can make more complex pieces from simple pinch pots. This aims to level up those new to clay, and engage those with more experience. 

Week 2 - COIL CLAY HEARTS & NATURE PRINT KEYRINGS: Mother’s Day projects - learning the art of coiling and imprinting to slabs on flat surfaces. We will also decorate these pieces in the session and they will be returned in time for Mother’s Day.  

Week 3 - TRINKET BOXES: Expanding coiling into three dimensions and making composite elements like lids and joining decorative elements using sprig moulds. 

Week 4 - FAIRY HOUSES: A fun last project aimed to combine all of the skills learned so far. 

Week 5 - DECORATING: A final session to finish off any projects, decorating finished pieces and getting everything ready for their final firing in the kiln!

These workshops are held at my Ashwell studio, taught by me with one additional member of support staff. Adults are not permitted to stay at these sessions, as space in the studio is limited. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions ahead of booking.
