Wall hangings: sgraffito workshop

Explore a slower, more tactile way of making at this intimate small-group ceramics workshop hosted by Little Shop of Pots. 

The session will be led by guest potter Juliette Shackleton of Chalkstone Pottery, who will demonstrate carving, layering and mark-making in clay to help you create your own unique ceramic wall hanging.

Attendees will be given plenty of individual guidance and will learn how to apply coloured slips, experiment with pattern and texture and reveal striking designs through careful incision. 

Whether you’re new to ceramics or looking to expand your decorative skills, this relaxed and creative workshop will give you the chance to create a beautiful and personal piece to treasure.

Expect a warm and welcoming studio atmosphere, a small group of like-minded makers and the expertise of two Ashwell potters! 

Pieces will be returned to attendees, or can be collected from the studio at your convenience.
